Why is it that when you decide to take a sick day it’s a crime, but when others take one it’s ok. Let me tell you guys something I work with kids in a school setting and this year has really taken a toll on all of us including the kids with all this terrible flu that’s going

around. Parents still sending kids to school sick as ever and teachers are sick too. Well I decided that this year if I’m sick, I’m going to take a day and not give a damn what the “team” thinks. My health is more important at this moment in my life. Don’t get me wrong I love the kids but I love me and my well being first.

Don’t you just love it when your little lunch packs a big punch and then afterwards you are so tired that you can hardly move, Well I will tell you that next time I think I will just leave the gravy, mashed potatoes, string beans and beef at home because now I can’t function and I need a nap!

Look… I’m new to this blogging thing and I guess whatever I blog about nobody relates to it. Well, if I read your articles and blogs, I always like them just to acknowledge that I have read them. Where is the love around here in this community?! Once again my blog won’t be perfect nor do I expect yours to be either. Have a great day!

That defining moment when you know your boss hates you. It’s when they go out of their way to tell you what they don’t like about you, like your headbands, like the way you dress, like the way you look. I mean really? I had an important meeting with my kid the other day and something went wrong with getting a replacement for me and my boss had to call me personally to tell me to call the Secretary. Like who does that? Who does that! That’s the moment when I knew that she hates me, but I don’t care because I’m going to be me. I’m going to say what I want to say and still be respectful but you’re not going to be petty. I’m tired of the pettiness. What is it that you think your boss doesn’t like about you? please comment below.

I don’t know about you but I’m so ready to cut all my hair off. 4 years or so natural and we have a love, hate relationship…What am I doing,? Well I follow the Loc method…I use oils and creams.. I deep condition and everything. What are some products that I can use to help stop the shedding and retain more length? Ughhh I’m so over it. The creativity of pencils, crayons, markers, paper, or my finger just flows right through me whenever I color.

I’m pretty darn good at it if you ask me lol, but on a serious note it relaxes me and keeps me on my toes as far as picking out the colors and determining how well they look together.

Found a pretty dope app as well. So if you love to color like I do, just remember that great minds think alike and your creation of colors will be beautiful.

What a morning! Woke up to light snow and I’m thinking ” Lord please give me strength to tread through this mess”. I sat on the couch and continued to watch the news when I decided suck it up and get ready for work. Mind you I work for a school district smh…anywho I preceded to get fully dressed and walk out the door, or so I thought. I looked outside and it was treacherous, roads covered, cars crawling through the snow. I had a full blown anxiety attack to the point where I couldn’t even leave the house. Wow, the older I get the more I just can’t do simple things like drive in the snow smh. But I will never leave my city.

How was your day today?

When I look at this picture, it makes me stop and think, breath and smile all at once. Little things like this makes me appreciate the simple things in life. Recharge and refuel for whatever is lurking ahead.
